About

Commerce is getting a new buyer.
We build for it.

AI agents now search, compare, and buy on behalf of customers. Nile is the backend that makes brands legible — and sellable — to them.

The story

Nile started in 2025 with a simple observation: every interface is becoming agentic, but the systems brands run on — storefronts, CMS, product feeds — were all built for human eyes. Agents can't read them, can't use them, can't buy through them. Someone has to own the layer that makes brand supply agent-native. We founded Nile in San Francisco in 2026 to build exactly that layer, and put our own economics behind it: we only earn when a brand sells.

What we believe

The agent is the new buyer

Shortlists are built agent-to-agent. Being a great brand is no longer enough — you have to be readable by machines that shop.

Supply must be rebuilt, not wrapped

You can't make human software agent-native by adding an API on top. The shelf itself has to be re-engineered.

Brands keep the customer

Your checkout, your data, your relationship. A channel should compound your brand — not stand between you and your buyer.

Why “Nile”

The biggest era of e-commerce was named after the largest river. The next one belongs to the longest — the river that keeps going. Nile is built for the long arc of commerce: the shift from people browsing shelves to agents negotiating supply.
